QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

  • CRABS will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine. The event will be held at the Kyiv School of Economics, located at 3 Mykoly Shpaka Street.

  • CRABS is designed to maximize hands-on learning, networking, and collaboration. Therefore, we are unable to offer an online participation option. We understand the value of accessible knowledge, so we plan to organize some open lectures that will be available to everyone. If you wish to register for the open lectures only, please fill out this form.

  • Yes, participation in CRABS is free of charge. Selected participants will get access to all the lectures, practical sessions, and study materials.

  • Since we have many international speakers and participants, all lectures, workshops, and discussions will be held in English.

  • Travel expenses are not covered by the program.
Regarding accommodation, we are currently exploring options and will offer access to a partner accommodation facility at a reduced rate. Additionally, we plan to provide a limited number of accommodation fellowships. While we cannot confirm the exact number at this stage, we are working to make as many fellowships available as possible. There is also a possibility that we will be able to cover accommodation costs for all participants, but this is still subject to approval. We will share updates as soon as we have more information.

  • Your safety is our top priority. We have developed a comprehensive safety policy for CRABS, which takes into account current conditions and potential risks. As the situation continues to evolve, we will review and update the policy after selecting participants. If needed, we will also organize an online meeting with the selected participants to go over the safety measures in detail and address any specific concerns.

  • We have designated a shelter at KSE with six separate classrooms that can host up to 100 participants and provide uninterrupted learning. In the event of an air alarm, we will immediately proceed to the shelter in accordance with our safety policy. Clear instructions and guidance will be provided to ensure everyone’s safety throughout the process.

  • Yes! International participants are welcome. We are excited to have participants from all over the world! If you require a visa, we can provide an official invitation letter. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions — we’re happy to help!

  • Once the schedule is fully finalized, we will upload it to our website. Stay tuned for updates! We are currently in the process of finalizing the program and adding speakers to the website.

  • Yes, we welcome applications from everyone! While selection is competitive and based on the strength of your application, a clear and specific motivation is key. Be sure to explain how attending CRABS would benefit you and how you plan to apply the knowledge you gain—concrete examples are encouraged.
All selected participants will receive preparatory materials to help them get up to speed. So even if you feel you lack certain skills, your motivation and perseverance matter most. We’re here to support your learning journey!

  • We expect to send out responses by the end of May. If there are any delays, we will let you know. Rest assured, all applicants will receive a response, whether selected or not.
