  • Can I join CRABS online?

CRABS is designed to maximize hands-on learning, networking, and collaboration. If you wish to register for the open lectures only, please fill out this form.

  • Is participation in CRABS free of charge?

Yes, participation in CRABS is free of charge. Selected participants will get access to all the lectures, practical sessions, and study materials.

  • Are travel and accommodation expenses covered by the program?

Travel expenses are not covered by the program.
Regarding accommodation, we are currently exploring options and will offer access to a partner accommodation facility at a reduced rate. Additionally, we plan to provide a limited number of accommodation fellowships. While we cannot confirm the exact number at this stage, we are working to make as many fellowships available as possible. There is also a possibility that we will be able to cover accommodation costs for all participants, but this is still subject to approval. We will share updates as soon as we have more information.

  • How do you handle safety concerns?

Your safety is our top priority. We have developed a comprehensive safety policy for CRABS, which takes into account current conditions and potential risks. If needed, we will also organize an online meeting with the selected participants to go over the safety measures in detail and address any specific concerns.

  • What are our actions in case of an air alarm?

We have designated a shelter at KSE with six separate classrooms that can host up to 100 participants and provide uninterrupted learning. In the event of an air alarm, we will immediately proceed to the shelter in accordance with our safety policy. Once the schedule is fully finalized, we will upload it to our website. Stay tuned for updates! We are currently in the process of finalizing the program and adding speakers to the website.

  • Should I apply if I don’t have enough experience in computer science/biological sciences?

Yes, we welcome applications from everyone! While selection is competitive and based on the strength of your application, a clear and specific motivation is key. Be sure to explain how attending CRABS would benefit you and how you plan to apply the knowledge you gain—concrete examples are encouraged.
All selected participants will receive preparatory materials to help them get up to speed. So even if you feel you lack certain skills, your motivation and perseverance matter most. We’re here to support your learning journey!

  • When will I receive a response?
